“Painting is my sanctum.”

Eva studied Graphic Design and Art Direction at the renowned Anders Beckman School in Stockholm, Sweden after four years of fine arts studies.

After a long career as Art Director/ Creative Director with some of the world's largest international advertising agencies as well as many years with her own agency in Stockholm, Sweden, Eva retired to Australia 26 years ago to paint and breed horses full time. Eva has had numerous exhibitions overseas and in Australia. Works in watercolour, oil and pencil that are constantly evolving.

"For forty years I was in advertising and the stress levels I was under as Creative Director were enough to last a few lifetimes... but there was always a great sanctuary, retreat in eucalypfus. I always thought when I retired, I just wanted to surround myself with horse riding and painting.

I am fascinated by Australian flora. In Europe, we just don't have anything like it... these leather-like leaves that turn into all these mad colours, it's unbelievable. I started seeing it when I used to take long walks along the Barwon River while living in Geelong - I brought leaves into the house and started painting them.”
